Q:  What is a Full Circle co-op?

A: Full Circle co-ops are open food co-ops that pave the way for future food co-ops by donating annually to FCI’s work. They are the partners to our small-but-mighty FCI staff team who deliver direct support, peer programs, organizing tools, and a national conference to support actively-organizing startup food co-ops across the country!

Full Circle co-ops make the startup food co-op movement possible. FCI was founded by open food co-ops as their promise to communities across the US that want to open their own cooperative grocery store that the movement would be here to help them do it. Our Full Circle co-ops are the foundation of our funding, the bedrock we rely on so we can keep supporting startups even when the winds of federal and charitable funding sources change.

How to get your

co-op “on the map”

  • Make a donation to FCI today on the Donate page
  • Pledge your co-op’s donation by emailing jq@fci.coop  and we’ll send you an invoice for the amount. Need the actual donation to fall in your Q4 but it’s Q2? We can set the invoice date to fit your co-op’s budget plan.
  • Make FCI a “round up” beneficiary and combine financial support for FCI with educating your member-owners about the food co-op movement! We have a “round up” packet of useful education tools and graphics for your co-op to use.
  • Patronage rebates are another way co-ops donate to FCI. If your co-op regularly issues patronage, we’d love to talk to you about this option. Email jq@fci.coop.
